These terms apply to your use of this website, run by The Quote Specialist (ABN 59 381 461 161). By using the site or submitting a quote request, you agree to them.

The service

The Quote Specialist runs a free quote-request service for Australian households and property owners, covering pest control and adding other services over time. When you submit a request, it is checked against the services and areas covered and passed to a provider who does that work in your area. Unless the quote page you use says otherwise before you submit, your request goes to one provider only.

The Quote Specialist does not carry out any of the work, and it is not a licensed contractor in any trade. The provider is an independent business. It is responsible for assessing your job, preparing your quote and, if you go ahead, doing the work.

Using the site

You agree to give accurate information, to request quotes only for your own property or one you are authorised to act for, and not to submit false requests or interfere with the site. This site is for adults.

No guarantee of a quote or outcome

Sending a request does not guarantee that a provider will be available in your area, that you will receive a quote, or any particular price, timeframe or result. Prices, timeframes and the scope of work are set by the provider after their own assessment.

Rebates and general information

Information on this site about government rebates, schemes, regulations or typical costs is general information only. Eligibility and amounts depend on your circumstances and the rules in force at the time. Your provider confirms what applies to your job.

Your agreement with the provider

Any contract for work, including price, warranties, payment and cancellation, is between you and the provider. The Quote Specialist is not a party to it. Providers are checked before requests are passed on, but The Quote Specialist is not responsible for a provider's work, conduct, pricing or legal compliance. Confirm a provider's licence or accreditation before you go ahead.

Cost

Requesting a quote is free. The provider pays The Quote Specialist when a request is passed on. You never pay anything.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, The Quote Specialist is not liable for loss arising from your dealings with a provider, or from a delay, error or omission in passing on a request.

Privacy

How personal information is collected, used and shared is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The content and design of this site belong to The Quote Specialist or its licensors and may not be copied without permission.

Changes

These terms may be updated, for example when a new service is added. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Australian state or territory where the property the quote is for is located.
